Welcome to Wilberforce
Farms Tanzania
Wilberforce Farms Tanzania is dedicated to sustainable mixed farming. We grow a variety of crops including corn, cassavas, pineapples, papayas, watermelons, sunflower, and sesame seeds. We also raise chickens, goats, and cows.
Growing Together for Global Change
Wilberforce Farms Tanzania plays a significant role in international development through sustainable agricultural practices and community engagement. Located on 300 acres in northeastern Tanzania, the farm honors the legacy of the great abolitionist William Wilberforce by promoting ethical and sustainable farming methods.
The farm utilizes a mixed approach, cultivating crops such as corn, cassava, oranges, pineapples, papayas, watermelons, sunflowers, and sesame seeds while rearing livestock. This diversification enhances food security and employment opportunities, supporting local economic development.
In addition to its agricultural and livestock operations, Wilberforce Farms offers camping experiences and internships, creating opportunities for educational engagement and hands-on learning in sustainable agriculture. These programs allow interns and visitors to connect with the land, gain practical skills, and experience rural life in Tanzania.
